Security Technician
The Opportunity
Silent Guardian is currently looking to fill the position Security Technician. The role will perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities consisting of installing a range of security technologies to include CCTV, and access control and intrusion detection systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage projects to deliver successful implementations by meeting project requirements and adhering to industry and company standards
- Participate in on-site progress meetings and provide updates to managers
- Demonstrate resourcefulness in assessing and troubleshooting of issues and problems
- Inspect your work for quality and ensure conformation of all specifications and requirements
- Program and test installed security systems and train clients as required
- Continually learn new products & technologies, upgrades and software programs related to electronic security systems
- Always represent Silent Guardian in a professional manner
- Abide by safety regulations and use protective safety equipment as required.
Education/Certification:
- High school degree or equivalent
Experience:
- Must have experience in the security technology industry
- Familiar with industry standards for ADA and life safety codes
- Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to travel for site visits
- Strong knowledge of security concepts and technology platforms; video, access control, intercom, intrusion, visitor management, and network connectivity
- Knowledge and practical experience with Networking systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills, good verbal, and written communication
- Must be able to work independently or on a team
